Hillsborough has a modern arena, which is open from mid-October to the end of March each year. Our arena is utilized by the Hillsborough Minor Hockey Association, which provides organized hockey for youth from 5 to 17 years old. Other local leagues provide recreational hockey for ladies, men and seniors. Also, the Fundy Blades Figure Skating club offers figure skating lessons and competitions to children ages 4 to 16. |

The Hillsborough Wetland Park is an exciting conservation and land reclamation project located in the heart of the Village. With the help of several partners, this former gypsum mill site and adjacent marshlands have been transformed into a 50 hectare wetland park that features a 4 km looped trail network which links the Interpretive Centre, 12 waterfowl ponds and an observation deck overlooking the Petitcodiac River. |

Operated by volunteers, the Hillsborough Youth & Family Centre operates a youth drop-in centre that offers: games, pool tables, table tennis, air hockey, Nintendo, movie nights, cards, crafts and baking for youths from grades 5 to 12. Ongoing projects will allow the center to offer activities for younger children. |

Located on former gypsum company marshlands, the Riverside Modelers Club enjoy flying remote control aircraft over acres of hayfields and wetlands. Easy access, well-groomed grass runways, large parking area and a recreational area make this airfield one of the best remote control airfields in Eastern Canada. The Riverside Modelers enjoy flying seven days a week and often invite other clubs in for fun flys and competitions. New members are always welcome. |

During the summer months and into the fall, the Salem & Hillsborough Railroad offers the public the opportunity to take an excursion on an authentic train from the early 1900’s. The Hillsborough Railway Station, which serves as the gift shop and ticket office, is a replica of the station house originally built in 1881. Guests may also visit the Railroad Museum which houses a static display of various railroad paraphernalia. |

The Steeves House Museum is the birthplace of William Henry Steeves—Father of Confederation and Senator. It is a charming Colonial mansion that began as a simple cottage in 1812 with later additions in 1840. Heritage Hillsborough, an organization dedicated to the preservation of historic properties, opens the house to the public every summer. Popular artifacts include the grapevine quilt and the Lordly bedroom suite. |
